There are some other interesting trivia as well. The team that won the most consecutive games was the 71-72 Los Angeles Lakers with 33 games. Coming in second was the Houston Rockets, who won 22. A.C. Green played the most consecutive games at 1,192!

NBA basketball is a hugely popular sport, in part to the outstanding athleticism of the players. When it comes down to it, few games have such fast paced action or draw such incredible crowds. Soccer is probably the only sport that comes close but not normally in the United States. NFL football is of course just as popular but it doesn’t seem to move as quickly. For those that want something more, the NBA seems to win hands down. With the 2009 season coming to a close, many fans will be turning their sights to next season and see what records can be broken then.
